Anhydrous (MgSO4)

Magnesium sulphate anhydrous is an inorganic salt containing magnesium, sulphur and oxygen. Magnesium sulphate is extremely soluble. The MgSO4 we produce matches Pharma standards and provides excellent results across all applications. It remains free flowing even at high temperatures and is therefore easy to dose. It acts as an anti-caking agent and is easily soluble in water, developing heat. It binds up to 100% of its own weight in water and is less corrosive than other salts, in particular chlorides (e.g. NaCl, CaCl2). Our Magnesium Sulphate Anhydrous is one product for many applications.

Agricultural Uses
  • Corrects magnesium or sulphur deficiency in soil.
  • Is commonly applied to potted plants and magnesium hungry crops.
Other Uses
  • Stabilises cellulose fibers
  • Improves the efficiency of detergents and cleaning agents
  • Makes textiles easier to care for
  • Recycles and clean waste water
  • Prevents caking of powdered products
  • In the cosmetic industry
  • To make granulated nitrogen compounds
  • In the plastic industry (ABS, EPS, synthetic latex, whiskers)
  • To make synthetic fibers (rayon)
  • To make refractory products
  • To make magnesite-based light-weight construction boards
  • To manufacture flame retardants (with boron, low-boron, boron-free)
  • To make bio-technological products (enzymes, yeasts, amino-acids, isoglucose etc)
  • To produce other magnesium compounds such as magnesium silicate
